Saturday, March 10, 2012 11:30 On saturday morning, just hours before our annual banquet,  Tactical box 96-2 was dispatched bringing in Ladder 49 in addition to other mutual aid companies.  Crews were advised of the homeowner calling from the neighbors house stating his house was on fire.  B-48 arrived to find a split level rancher with heavy fire from side C.  Ladder 49 arrived 1st and entered the basement on side B and encountered heavy fire conditions extending to the 1st floor.  Engine 94 arrived right behind Ladder 49 and went in service with 2 handlines to the basement and 1st floor.  Crews knocked down the fire in the basement and 1st floor, and attic areas.  Fire crews had extensive overhaul to perform to check for hotspots and hidden pockets of fire.  The fire was placed under control within 1 hour and crews were available to enjoy the annual banquet within 3 hours.

Sunday afternoon crews from Plumsteadville were called to a building fire on 611.  Chief 41 arrived to find a single story building with heavy smoke showing. At this time Tanker 49 was called for water supply, and shortly after Rescue 49 was dispatched to assist with manpower.  Ladder 49 was called also for RIT.  Rescue 49 assisted with overhaul and checking for extension, Ladder 49 set up RIT on side A.  Crews were realeased within an hour of being called.
